16m3 nut curing silos (macadamias). The client requested we fabricated alternative approaches based on the hot air supply to see if it made any difference.
Numerous test points were fitted to test the curing process in different positions.
Considerable work went into ensuring the nuts would discharge with minimal chance of “hang-up” as well as maximum open area and structural integrity.
There was also a big focus on being able to CIP the silos from the top as well as under the perforated silo floor.
