A customer came to us for 8 custom 30 litre pots for a lab scale pilot plant, but our standard design was too expensive, so we removed the knuckle, welded from one side only, no grinding of the weld and the new price was accepted.

The only problem now is they turned out so neat; its hard to get guys to do a cheap and cheerful job when they are continually reminded about quality, the customer is likely to say he cant see the value in what we say is standard :-(
