Another successfully completed project that we had never built before – a reactor to heat up to and operate at 400 deg C.
A lot of thought needed to go into the design particularly how to heat the vessel in a cost effective manner and preferably electrically.
Then the vessel needed insulating as well as the gearbox needed to be insulated from the temperature and so we installed an insulation flange between the vessel and the gearmotor pedestal as well as fitting 2 off fans which were also insulated from their support so as to cool the mixer shaft
