3D-modelled IBCs for Powdered Product

We recently finished these particularly special stainless steel fabricated IBCs. It took numerous revisions via 3D modelling to achieve the end result.

The design of these stainless steel IBCs meant it was limited in some dimensions, such as the height & the loading arrangement where the dust from the powdered product entering the IBC needed to be contained, then the powder was to have steam condensate injected to create a slurry, so a high throughput filter with a stainless housing was sourced as well as a vacuum / pressure relief valve was fitted as a back up

The IBCs needed:
• to accommodate forklift access from all sides
• an internal overflow (so it didn’t get damaged with forklift access)
• a weighted flap to contain dust
• a knife gate valve and a 4″ camlock connection which was set back from the IBC face and protected as much as possible
• a steam condensate manifold installed so it couldn’t get damaged

All work is carried out with pride and care in our Minto workshop.
